     Areas of Improvement and my Action plans

                Since I have been studying different modules of computing, I have improved my general computing skills. But I am hoping to be able to pick things up quickly which I have never used and I am inexperienced of. So there's lot of improvement to be made to gain proper knowledge in those. for instance  my researching skills, time management. My weakest area which I need to build on is my confidence which I have not gain much experience of meeting new problems and give a instant presentation which I hope to improve at Islington college.
                I need to spend time at my college to know the facts I am unfamiliar with and complete tasks when they are set and not leave everything  until the last minute. I need to believe in myself, gain confidence in talking to people I don't know and feel that I can do anything if I set my mind to do it. I would like to work hard and find a manageable balance between my study and social life to enjoy myself. I would be able to manage my time and gain lot of confidence so not to be stressed easily. I would take one step to become more organized as all of the resources available to me to lay out in a very efficient and helpful manner. I would be one step ahead when it comes to projects, researching and general tasks either to achieve best grades or be successful and have a enjoyable career.
                These action plans would help me to visualize my own strengths and weaknesses and it also would allow me to set targets to help me achieve my goals whilst at my college and in future life. I can see clearly what I have to do and how I have to do it.

Skills Attributes & Employment Development

                This is my blog on which I am discussing about the modules which I am currently studying in the first semester and what I hope to learn from these modules and how they will help me in developing my career later. Islington college formally known as Informatics college gives an educational attributes on Computing, Networking and Multimedia sectors. I choose Computing sector and got four different educational modules in my first semester including:
(i)  Study Skills for Computing
Ø  It's not only the subject which is course oriented. It teaches us the way to present ourselves  and increases our personal skills.
(ii) Logic
Ø  This module helps us to improve our thinking skills and helps solve logical errors.
(iii)Problem solving for IT
Ø  This module speaks itself. This module helps to learn the way of solving problems related to IT.
(iv)Introduction to programming
Ø  The last but not the least module which is the fundamental root to the programming.

                It is widely accepted that employability skills are context-dependent and best developed in real work contexts. So, I would identify my strength and weaknesses to strengthen my ability and articulate my skills and experience. I will identify what I need to do in order to fulfill my goals and objective and get where I want to be in terms of my studies, jobs, personal life and career.
                I hope to increase my basic fundamental skills, thinking skills, personal skills through which I could develop appropriate attributes for employment and be able to take responsibility for my employability, particularly through personal development planning. The modules I choose will help me to gain these abilities.

From these modules it will develop learning and action planning through the personal development planning process and will provide an understanding of how problems can be solved systematically. I will be able to critically  assess the quality of the software system and to implement a software system in java.

Self Assessment

   As in my previous blog I had written about myself, my interests and what I want to be in future   and why I studied BSc IT.
In this blog I have explained about my main achievements and my expectation  during my course of study.

* My achievements;
Since, I had studied Computer  subject on my school level, I have got the basic knowledge on computer. Continuously, I did studied Computer Science in my higher secondary level which helped to gain knowledge in computing and programming . I had learnt Program Designing which taught me step by step how to properly begin programming in a language. Likewise I had knowledge on Data Base Management System (DBMS), Power point. Also, I had got the knowledge of history on about computer including Ms- Word, Ms-Excel, Power-Point etc. I had done basic web page deigning in HTML and CSS. In my free time I learnt to write programs using Python that
accomplished useful goals and outcomes.

* What I expect to learn during my course of study;
I would like to be a good programmer as well as  would prefer to have various knowledge in computing. My aim would be to gain achievements to build different software, throughout the world and perform well in every aspect of my course study.
which would help me to achieve my aim of being a IT-Professional in my future . I would achieve more if I would brush up on the Java Programming and software engineering skills. As further I would like to learn how to use and apply the object oriented programming principles: abstraction, inheritence , and polymorphism and component re-use, in the context of the C++ programming language.

About...

Yeah it took nineteen years to create who I am today. Within these years, I have been given freedom to explore the world in order to satisfy my curiosity towards all the strange & wonderful things in the world around me.

 I grew up in a healthy family. I had an elder sister who made my childhood days more colorful. My parents both had stable careers and this provided us with more opportunities what we were desired to do. I remember when I was a young boy; parents bought us a desktop computer. I have been exploring different things available in the internet. So I have been learning computer languages ever since my childhood. I finally completed my S.L.C with merit specially in computer subject. After all the hardship I went through, success was finally shown in my result.

 I did far better in my college short life to explore myself harder. Then I joined Orchid Science College. I applied for science stream (comp.) in higher secondary level & I am now pursuing a (Hons) degree for Computing  under the London Metropolitan University in Islington College. My purpose to study Computer Science in both the levels was obviously to be good enough in every aspect of technology.

 After I complete my degree, I will have the opportunity to obtain a stable & challenging career.

I know that the road ahead will not be easy for me, but I cannot stop here. I need to move on in order to reach my goals and I would give my full enough effort to complete my degree.My success in the future lies in my own hands.
